As it appears from the @MapleChangeEx tweet the Edmonton-based exchange lost all of the users Bitcoin -9.66% and Litecoin -11.61% funds.● Maple Change closed down almost all of their social media accounts.

Due to a bug, some people have managed to withdraw all the funds from our exchange. We are in the process of a thorough investigation for this. We are extremely sorry that it has to come to end like this. Until the investigation is over, we cannot refund anything.

Shortly after the information MapleChange started to close down all of their social media accounts and blocked their website. Hoepfully for the exchange users its Twitter account is still responsive however from recent announcement there are no chances for getting BTC and LTC funds back.

Earlier in the day, MapleChange had reported that it had upgraded its servers and that their new Version 2.0 was now online and available for all users. Its not officially announced but there is a probability that during upgrade some bugs occurred which lead to hacking.
MapleChange is a new crypto exchange established in April 2018. As SimilarWeb data present in the latest traffic statistics they were expanding their business with user base coming mainly from Russia (15%) and Brazil (15%). Their recent growth is also confirmed by Coingecko stats.
